Our Journey

Started in 2020 with the aim of raising awareness about mental well being, our journey has been incredibly gratifying. Within one week of Mind Diaries’s launch, we were a team of 60+ volunteers from all over India- enthusiastic and passionate students, looking to work towards bringing a change. We quickly took over social media and came up with many forms of content including informative posts, educational videos, live streams with professionals on varying topics like 'Lockdown Anxiety', 'Battling grief and loss during the pandemic', 'Body Image issues', etc.

With as many as 500 followers within a month, our pathway had been paved in the student community. With the second wave of covid round the corner in 2021, we came up with a 15 day long online vent, with a lineup of artists, singers, poets, professionals and much more. We successfully conducted 15+ concerts, poetry nights, rap battles, baking workshops, trivia nights, educational modules and webinars- all directed towards raising money for Therafree. We raised 60,000 INR in a matter of 10 days, and directed all the money towards funding therapy sessions for people in need of professional help but with a lack of financial resources.

Since then MD has been represented at various prestigious platforms, including an interview with the Times of India, being invited to the World Mental Health Day Conclave conducted by YFMH in collaboration with WHO, and being felicitated by the Dean of Jindal School of Counseling and Psychology. Along with our social media content, and Therafree, we have tied up with certified professionals to help make therapy accessible at pocket friendly rates for everyone. We, at MD, believe that therapy is a necessity rather than a luxury, and everyone deserves equal access to it.
